Here is the color story for this week:
The challenge: Using the colors in the color story as your inspiration create a project of your choosing. You may be inspired by only one color, of combination of two or three, or all of them. The choice is yours!
I was inspired by the rose pink in the color story and decided to use that as my inspiration. Browsing through my patterned paper stash I found the perfect paper from the Abriana Collection by K & Co that I felt best represented what looked to me like Regal Rose from Stampin' Up!®.
I added Rich Razzleberry and Orchid Opulence (retired) cardstock to the Regal Rose I had already chosen and used the cardstock as base layers for my patterned paper. The flower circles were cut out using my Cricut Expression and Elegant Edges cartridge. I do not own a sewing machine so, YES, that is hand-stitching that you see there. I used Bazzill stitching templates with a paper-piercer to make the holes and then stitched with some craft thread from Michael's. The sentiment I used is from a Verve stamp set called "Beautiful You".
This card design was inspired by Verve Diva Maureen's Viva la Verve Sketch:
I had the most fun making this card! First of all, I loved this sketch so, thank you Maureen. Secondly, I've never stretched myself to use three colors and I just love how well everything came together. Thirdly, the hand-stitching made me feel as if I was really putting a lot of love into this card and well, I did!
