Mojo Monday 188 & Some Exciting News to Share

Hello Everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I am so grateful for all the recent comments on my cards and my new followers. I am slowly trying to get caught up returning your kindness my visiting your blogs and commenting.

Today I am sharing a card with you that was inspired by this week's Mojo Monday Sketch 188. There were two sketch options provided: Round or Square

I chose to go with the square option and create this birthday card for my niece who is turning 8 on next Saturday.

I had so much fun creating this card and using the Mojo Monday sketch. Everything just seemed to come together super easy for me!
I used the Ice Cream Parlor Simply Scrappin' Collection from Stampin' Up! Isn't it just perfect for birthday cards? Of course I used my Cricut and some cartridges; George and Basic Shapes to cut a 3 1/2 inch circle to print my Cocoa Birthday Cake digi stamp from Sweet n Sassy stamps on and then Elegant Edges to cut a 3 3/4 inch flower circle to mount the stamped image on. I colored in my image with copics and added some Stickles to hi-light certain areas of the image.

Now for my exciting news to share...
Korin from Sweet n Sassy Stamps has invited me to be a Guest Designer for the Sweet Stop Sketch Blog for the month of May! I am super excited about this as this is the first Guest Designer position I've ever been offered in the world of card-making and stamping and it's for one of my two favorite stamp companies. How cool is that?

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a blessed week.
