Sweet Stop Sketch 117

Hello blogging friends. It' Saturday and that means time for a new Sweet Stop Sketch. It's also time for a spin with the sketch and the spin is:Christmas in July.

This sketch looks pretty straight-forward and easy to work with. Can't wait to see your take on it.

Be sure to visit my fellow Sugar Babies to see what they did with the sketch and then join us at the Sweet Stop to play along and link up your creation.

Wait a minute! Something is missing, right? Right you are! It's my sample for the sketch.

Well, on Wednesday my 76-year old Mom decided she would go out to her little garden and pick some tomatoes. She took a tumble and broke her hip and wrist. I've been living at the hospital except for coming home to shower and check emails and there was no-time to create. I am blessed to be on one of the most understanding Design Teams in the world. I was surrounded by their support and prayers and I am super grateful to be on the Sweet Stop Team. Great group of ladies to work with. Really, exceptional! Mom underwent her surgery today without any complications which is nothing short of a miracle as she has Congestive Heart Failure. They say that the hard part begins now. It's a move or die situation. According to the surgeon and anesthesiologist there is a 25% mortality rate during the recovery period of this surgery. You have to keep moving regardless of how painful it is or blood clots, pneumonia or other complications can arise and that is what actually takes your life. I believe my Mom to be a fighter. And I also believe that God is bigger than that 25%! So, I am believing and praying that she will be one of the ones who beats the odds.

Well, if you've made it this far then God Bless you for reading my story and I ask that you remember my Mom in your thoughts and prayers. I've set this post up to automatically publish at midnight on the 16th. It's currently 7:15pm EST on the 15th and I am headed back to the hospital to spend the night. This time I am taking my copics and a clipboard full of digi images that I have printed out. So, when my Mom is resting I will be coloring.

Also, I want to give a shout-out to Sami my partner in Cricut Crafting Crime! I told you last week that she was going to be exploring the layers feature on the Life is a Beach cartridge and she has a couple of posts already up on her blog as well as a video. So please pay her a visit.

Thanks for stopping by today. Sorry for the lack of a creative post but, I think you can understand why.
