My starting point for this card was the Mojo Monday Sketch 207:
Some people get a little intimidated by the tilted panels but, I kind of think they are fun!
I used Peach Parfait, Daffodil Delight, and Soft Suede CS from SU. The pattern papers I used from Echo Park's "Walk in the Park" collection just happened to blend nicely with the colors from SU.
Over at Paper Play Challenges the challenge was Autumn Leaves. So, I got out my leaf punch from EK Success Brands and punched three leaves using the Echo Park designer paper.
Hand Stamped Sentiments is challenging participants to Impress Them by using embossing. I thought my Pumpkin Embossing Folder from Cuttlebug would work out nicely with this card. I embossed Peach Parfait CS and then went over the raised areas with Peach Parfait Classic Ink.
Stampin' Sisters in Christ : Challenge: Create a card that either says “Blessings” or uses an encouraging Scripture.
The "Harvest Blessings" sentiment from Verve worked out nicely for this fall-themed card which just happens to be the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.
Sentimental Sundays is challenging us to step out of our comfort zone by doing something that we do not normally do. Paper-piercing is something that I do not normally do and I even have a set of tools that I purchased awhile back that is supposed to make paper-piercing easier but have never given it a try. So, tonight I used these EK Success Cutter Bee Piercing Bugs on my card:
I think I could use a little more practice with these but, I did get out of my comfort zone by at least trying them.
All of that inspiration is what led me to this...
Thanks for stopping by!
