Stairway to Heaven

Hello Everyone. It's been awhile since I've posted and I'm way behind on returning comments but, I have a good reason, I promise.

First, I want to share my card I created for Classy Cards N Such.

I've been wanting to try some of the unique folding techniques for creating cards and I decided to give the Stair-Step fold a try using the tutorial available here at SCS.

scripture stamp from Verve Stamps

The challenge this week at Tuesday Throwdown is Pearls. I think my card fits that requirement, don't you?

Many of you may remember me posting about my Mom falling and breaking her hip and wrist and you all left me such wonderful words of comfort and promises of prayers and I thank you for that from the bottom of my heart. She recovered from that injury and is back at home with me and walking well with the assistance of a walker or cane. At that time, I didn't tell you that Mom had Congestive Heart Failure because the disease was under control. Unfortunately, things have changed. Her CHF is back in full swing and her heart has gotten considerably weaker. I really don't know how much time we have left with her and I am trying to make the most of it. Some days, I just don't feel like creating and blogging so please pardon me, if I don't post for awhile. On the other hand, there are days when creating is how I cope with all of it. I made the above card the day after Mom saw the doctor and it's why I used that scripture. I need the "oil of joy" for mourning and a "garment of praise" for the spirit of heaviness as she slowly climbs the "stairway to heaven".

Thank you for reading. Thank you for understanding. Thank you for your prayers.
