Guest Designing with The Die Cuttin Divas: Tags, Tags, & More Tags

Happy Tuesday Everyone! I'm very excited today to be Guest Designing with the fabulous ladies from Die Cuttin' Divas.

If you are not familiar with them they are a challenge blog dedicated to using those die-cut machines we all just had to have. Raise your hand if you fall into this category!

Our challenge this week is called Tags, Tags, & More Tags and it is sponsored by the wonderful Whimsie Doodles. They gave us some adorable Christmas images to work with and I will be showcasing three of those images here today on my tags.

I decided to use my Cricut along with my Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge to cut out my tag bases.

Let's have a look...

This tag uses the Tag Jar image. I just loved those peppermint candies and knew when I saw it that I would use the image along with this peppermint striped paper from American Crafts. Don't they just look yummy? And nothing says Christmas like peppermint candy. I used the Sizzlits Lots of Tags Die set from Stampin' Up!® to cut out the label that I stamped "Holiday Joy" on.

Here we have the Penguin. He just looked plain cold to me so I thought a background of embossed snowflakes would suit him well. I used my snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder and then inked over the raised areas with Soft Sky ink. This is a retired color from Stampin' Up but, I still love it and I used the matching ribbon or the bow. I used the same label as above to stamp "Let it Snow" on.

My final tag uses the Gift Box. I went clean and simple here. Just colored the image. cut it out, and let it stand on it's on against a white background. I used a different tag from the Sizzlits Lots of Tags Die set and I stamped "Holly Jolly" on it. I used some hemp cord to tie the two tags together and inked the outer edges of the tag base with Fired Brick Distress Ink.

All of the sentiments I used today are from Verve's Holiday Phrases stamp set.

This was a lot of fun and I hope you are inspired to get out whatever tag dies or cartridges you may have and make some tags. If you do, be sure to come share them with us over at Die Cuttin' Divas!

  9. Ooo I love tags! These are so pretty. I really like the pop of black on the top one with the red, so pretty. Love the texture on the penguin and the simplicity of the one with the present, the brightness of the colors and how they pop with the splash of ink around the edges.

Have a great day Jennipher. :o)
