The Perfect Sentiment Challenge 13: Vellum Valentines

Happy Wednesday Everyone! It's time for the first challenge of 2012 at The Perfect Sentiment!

The Challenge: create a card with a sentiment appropriate for Valentine's Day
The Twist: use vellum somewhere on your card

I have to admit the thought of using vellum was a real challenge for me. I have quite a bit of it but, it's just not my go-to supply when creating cards. So, I dug deep into my stash and found some patterned vellum papers and a couple books of vellum cut-outs. This stuff is ancient, I tell ya!

I mounted the vellum patterns onto Blushing Bride cardstock from Stampin' Up!®. It was the perfect color to blend with the sheer pink in the patterned vellum. The roses and stems were fussy cut from my vellum cut-outs book and then mounted onto the heart doily with tiny foam squares.

I stamped my sentiment (from Verve) directly onto the vellum.

Now you must see what the other Design Team Members created...

Once you're inspired come play along at the Perfect Sentiment!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Crafter's Companion: Love is in the Air
Crafty Sentiments Designs: Love and Romance
The Pink Elephant: Anything Goes
