Tuesday's Testimonial 05

Happy Tuesday! It's time for Tuesday's Testimonial Linky Party where we share any kind of paper crafted project with any Scripture on it.You can link up something newly created or an older creation.

My project today was inspired by this sketch from the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining Light Challenge.

This week I wanted to share one of my favorite Scriptures about love found in 1 Corinthians 13.

In this passage the nature of love is stated so that we can know whether we have this grace. This love is a clear proof of renewal, and is a benchmark of our professed faith in Christ.  Love is an utter enemy to selfishness. It does not desire or seek its own praise or pleasure. This is not to say that love destroys all regard to ourselves or that a loving individual should neglect themselves and all of their interests. Instead, love never seeks its own to the hurt or neglect of others. How incredible would Christianity appear to the world, if those who profess it were more under this Divine principle!

I ask myself everyday if this Divine love dwells in my heart and I pray to God to help me lay aside my selfishness so that I may experience this incredible love and share it with others.

Thanks for stopping by today. I would love for you to share some part of God's Word with me. Along with your project you can share some encouraging words, a Testimony,  just your thoughts on the Scripture, or say nothing at all.

If you do link up, please take time to leave a comment and then visit one or two of the other links in the party and share in their blessings.

  1. What a soft and beautiful card.

  2. So beautiful, Jennipher! I love the wonderful colors that compliment the verse so well! This was one of the passages said at our wedding and it's always special! I do often wonder why people say or respond in certain ways and I'm perplexed thinking what did I do wrong, or how could I have done a, b or c differently and then I remember that it's not for me to make sense of - it's for me to put full trust in HIM and know the difference :) Even as a christian, each day is a learning experience! blessings!

  3. Lovely card, beautiful scripture. This is a great scripture for the new bride and groom and also for an anniversary as a reminder of the love and faith that is shared.

  4. beautiful card and the text is amazing. Love it.
    Big hugs
    Doreen xx

  5. Very elegant and love the scripture Jennipher!

  6. This is so pretty. I love the colors. Your comments on this also serve as a great reminder of how I should be.

  7. Beautiful card and sentiment. I love how soft and pretty the colors are.

  8. Nice interpretation of the sketch. I like your color combo.

  9. Jennifer this is just beautiful!!! What a gorgeous take on the sketch!!! I still am so in love with this dp... ONE of my faves forever I think! Your words on this wonderful Love passage were so touching. We had this passage quoted at our wedding as well,(41 years ago next week!) but it really is not just applicable to our families and those close to us... but rather to who we are... and how that selflessness will reach to all those we come in contact with... because He has given us this command... that we love one another deeply, even as He loved us and gave Himself for us! I pray that I show that love to all I come in contact with, and that when I fail, that He helps me recognize that, and make it right. This is such a testament to His saving grace, because it's so opposite our own human instincts! Only He can change us into the new creatures He designed us to be, but that can only be accomplished as we allow ourselves to be transformed. Wow! Thanks for the meditation!!!

  10. Your card is beautiful. I love the paper you used!

  11. Jennipher, What a beautiful post and scripture...one of my favorites.

  12. This is so beautiful Jennipher!! I love the colors and that wonderful scripture!
    Hugs, Tammy

  13. Such a beautiful card! I love the scripture you chose and the soft pretty fabric flower! I think you summarized this so well. Too many times we focus on what 'we' get from things instead of how it may affect others.

Thanks for visiting my blog and taking your precious time to leave me a comment. You have blessed my day.
